The Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA), a global,crypto gaming community-focused organization, has opened the 2025 State of the Industry Survey, now in its fifth year. The initiative aims to gather insights on the current state and future direction of blockchain gaming.

2025 State of the Industry Survey Now Open
The BGA announced on X the opening of its 2025 State of the Industry Survey, which will run until Friday, September 12.
“Help us capture the current state of blockchain gaming by sharing your experience and insights in the BGA State of the Industry Report 2025 survey. Whether you’re building the future or playing it, your voice matters… Your input will help shape where blockchain gaming goes next. Join thousands of others who are already contributing to this industry snapshot.”

BGA works with advisory firm Emfarsis to conduct the annual survey. The organization said it will only take about six minutes to complete. Multiple-choice responses will be used for statistical purposes, while open-ended answers may appear in the published report.
The findings will be compiled in a report distributed through the BGA network and shared with media outlets.
According to them, previous surveys have been featured by CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, Decrypt, Forbes, PlaytoEarn.com, and GAM3S.GG.
Who Can Answer?
According to BGA, the survey is open to founders, developers, publishers, venture capitalists, and service providers in legal, finance, marketing, and public relations.
Journalists and content creators who cover blockchain gaming can also participate.
Esports players who are signed to competitive guilds or who receive salaries or sponsorships are eligible as well.
What is the BGA State of the Industry Survey?
The BGA State of the Industry Survey is an annual report that captures insights from professionals across the blockchain gaming ecosystem.
It tracks trends in gameplay models, user adoption, monetization strategies, and regional growth, while identifying challenges like onboarding friction and UX limitations.
The survey is noted as a strategic compass, which offers data-driven forecasts and spotlights emerging opportunities such as play-to-airdrop mechanics, SocialFi integrations, and Telegram-native games.
Last year’s report highlighted asset ownership as a key benefit of blockchain games while identifying challenges such as player onboarding and public misconceptions.
